Education & outreach

Bringing real trading education to universities & colleges

We run guest talks and workshops for students on the fundamentals, risk, and psychology of trading — real market insight from working traders.

What we offer

Talks, workshops and real market insight

Every session is led by an active trader and pitched at student level — engaging, practical and honest about the realities of the markets.

Guest lectures

A focused, interactive session on how financial markets work, who the key participants are, and what a trading career really looks like.

Interactive workshops

Hands-on sessions such as “Mastering the Markets: Fundamentals, Risk, and Psychology of Trading” — students practise decision-making in real market scenarios.

Career & employability clinics

Q&A-style sessions that connect classroom theory to the skills employers, prop firms and trading floors value.

Featured workshop

Risk

Position sizing, stop losses and protecting capital.

Psychology

Emotion, discipline and the mindset behind consistent trading.

Practice

Interactive scenarios using real market examples.

Work experience day

A day on the floor with Wandsworth College

Business students from Wandsworth College (South Thames Colleges Group) spent a work experience day with us — not shadowing from the back of the room, but sat at live desks. We walked them through our macro playbook, set them up on trading accounts and had them react to real news headlines alongside our traders. In three hours they went from knowing nothing about the markets to reading a headline and forming a view. Scroll the story below.

On campus seminar

Money, macro and real-world context at Wandsworth College

Back at Wandsworth College — also part of South Thames Colleges Group — for a financial literacy seminar. We covered dollar-cost averaging, why inflation quietly erodes savings, and how macroeconomics and government policy shape the cost of living, jobs and opportunity. No hype, no signals: just the economic literacy every student should leave education with.

Dollar-cost averaging
Investing a fixed amount on a schedule — why consistency beats trying to time the market.
Inflation & cost of living
What rising prices do to savings, and why leaving cash idle is itself a decision.
Macro & economic policy
Interest rates, money supply and labour market data — how policy filters down to society.
Financial literacy
Budgeting, risk and long-term goals framed for students at the very start of their journey.
Educate2Trade mentor speaking to Wandsworth College students about financial literacy
Why financial literacy is a life skill, not a niche subject.
Mentor explaining dollar-cost averaging to students at Wandsworth College
Dollar-cost averaging: investing consistently instead of timing the market.
Wandsworth College lecture theatre with labour market indicators on screen
Labour market data, money supply and credit conditions on the screen.
Full lecture theatre of Wandsworth College students during the seminar
A packed theatre working through how economic policy shapes prices, jobs and everyday choices.

Financial literacy seminars

On campus at Merton College

Merton and Wandsworth both sit under South Thames Colleges Group, and we were invited to deliver financial literacy seminars across the group. Day one took us to Merton College, where we spoke to business students about why investing matters when costs and inflation keep climbing — then worked through live case studies showing how price reacts when the data lands. Scroll the story below.
