Leaving the forces is a big step, and choosing what comes next matters. Educate2Trade is an ELCAS approved provider — your Enhanced Learning Credits can go toward a recognised qualification and a genuine route into the financial markets.

of your course fee — ELCAS can fund approved Level 5 and Level 7 diploma programmes.

As an ELCAS-approved provider, Educate2Trade helps current and former members of the Armed Forces access a practical route into financial markets. We'll give you the course details, documentation and guidance you need to apply with confidence. You focus on the future.
Funding tiers
What your entitlement could be
ELCAS covers up to 80% of the approved fee (incl. VAT). Your entitlement depends on qualifying service.
£1,000
per claim (up to 3 claims)
4–7 years qualifying service (minimum 6 years if service was completed after 1 April 2017).
£2,000
per claim (up to 3 claims)
8+ years of qualifying service.
£3,000
single consolidated award
6+ years, left on or after 1 April 2016. A one-off award in place of three separate claims.

Application process
Seven steps to your funded place
- 1
Check your eligibility
Confirm ELC scheme membership, eligible service type and your post-service window.
- 2
Speak to Educate2Trade
We provide your course title, code, fee, provider information and a start date.

Access the ELCAS Members Area
Review your remaining claims, funding tier and entitlement expiry.
- 4
Submit your claim
Search for Educate2Trade in the ELCAS portal and apply at least 25 working days before you start.

Send us your CAN
Once approved, share your Claim Authorisation Note before the course begins.
- 6
Pay your contribution
ELCAS funds up to 80%; we invoice the remainder, with flexible payment options.
- 7
Start your programme
Once your CAN and contribution are received, we confirm your place.

- Discharge certificate or evidence of your service end date
- Proof of current address
- Course details from Educate2Trade
- Previous course evaluation (for a 2nd or 3rd claim)
- Interrupted Service form (if applicable)
- SSR contact details
Important rules
- Don't start your course before receiving your CAN
- No retrospective claims
- One ELCAS claim per financial year
- Allow 25 working days before starting
- Complete evaluations for previous claims before reapplying
- Your CAN must match the approved provider and course
